 SOFIA BY CLAIRO

Sofia by Clairo was a song published on July 5th 2019, with her debut album Immunity. The song Sofia is about Clairos first crushes on women in the social media platform. She explains how liking another girl shouldn't feel wrong in the lyric "Sofia, know that you and I Shouldn't feel like a crime '. She also explains how Sofia should give it a try and to not care about what other people think about them or their relationship. She also states that things could get hard with them both being together but how she'll try as hard as she can to make it work. The song starts describing Sofia by saying she has long hair and how thats one of her favorite traits by romanticizing the lyric. In the song she confesses her love for sofia and states that she'll love her no matter what her decision is and she''l keep wishing she was with her until the end of time. The song is 3 minutes long, but Clairo uses repetition a lot with her lyrics and states most of the things multiple times. "Honey i dont want it to fade" means she doesn't want whatever is going on between them to be gone and slowly vanish. The song genre for this song is alternative/indie, most songs in this genre are based off the songwriting and not the music or beat. Most indie singers are independent artist and a lot aren't signed to a label. Clairo is however signed to Fader music label, which is a less known label then other artist. Sofia is one of Clairo's most popular songs after Pretty girl which made her a new rising indie artist. Sofia helped reach Clairo to Billboards Top 100 with her at number 98, with 5.2 million streams. The song Sofia includes Danielle Haim on drums and was produced by Rostam. The song Sofia felt really personal to Clairo as she stated in an interview, and how she felt she should share with other people having the same experience. Sofia was also influenced by the song ''You only live once'' by Julian Casablancas.  She has stated that Sofia was going to be a rock song but she changed her mind and added drums last minute. Concluding this Clairo is very passionate about her lyrics and what she writes, she is a very talented artist.

 Since there was a late start to the filming process there was a rush into the editing process as well.  I imported all my footage onto my computer after i was done with filming but in that process something messed up. When i thought all my footage was on my computer i removed it from my phone. Then when i went back to edit it i looked for all the footage and it turns out i lost it all. Im going to re film everything this weekend but heres what i have planned for when i edit. I plan on put my scenes in a way where she's remenicing the times with the girl she loves. Im going to try and fade these scenes together or some form of a transition so it looks smooth. Depending on the quality of the videos im going to add a nice filter over the video to make sure it looks good and clean. My video is going to be sort of the same concept my commercial was. Genre research : Comedy

This project was made in the beginning of the year when i first started this class. This was to help understand the concept of genres. What we did was picked a genre from a list and we had to research and learn about them. The genre i picked was comedy. This wasn't a hard project to do it was so i could learn. I started by researching everything thats needed and key in a movie. First i researched the specific type of lighting and angles that are used. For every genre all the details are very different. I had to look at multiple pictures to see what angles and lighting are used the most.10 Next i studied the movement and Mise-En-Scene used in the comedy genre. It's often that the camera usually follows the character. Depending on the type of comedy the mise-en-scene is either dramatic or very casual. Next i researched about elements, example films, sounds. Genre Research: Before i fall

 The elements this movie has is the story it tells. This movie is about a young girl who gets into a car crash but never reaches the crash. She wakes up on the same day of the crash but it's exactly the same. As she repeats each day she has the ability to change what events take place. Throughout the whole movie she try try's multiple ways to figure out how to prevent the crash from happening. As the movie begins you notice she is a mean girl and says no to a certain guy and bullies the weird girl with her friends. At the end of the movie something significant happens and she realises whats really important. Her whole day changed based on how everything happens. The way this movie shows how a tragic event really effects you and you have the opportunity to change it.
