Creative Critical Reflection

1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?   My music video has used a variety of different conventions. The first convention is the camera angles. In this project i used multiple different angles than i did last time. The angles i used give a good idea of the point of view were trying to get. It is like you are there up close but not really you are just watching her from afar. I used a pan scene to show the location to get a feel for where she is. I wanted to make sure that she was viewed in multiple different perspectives as if it is almost her not even knowing she’s being watched. When in reality everyone can see her and the pain she is in. It was important to also include that she was not only just walking around being sad but also observing those around her who are in happy stable relationships and how she wishes that could be her. The camera movement is also another big thing. Throughout the entire video the camera

This project definitely was not easy to make. It took lots of time and effort to do and the editing was a lot of work. There were many ups and downs during this but i tried to make the best of it. There were many challenges mainly when all my previous footage got deleted. I wish i could have used that but i just had to make the best of my situations. Although it had its challenges i had fun making this video it was definitely a new experience for me. I learned lots of new things such as different filming techniques and different ways of editing. I tried my best during this although it didn't come out the way i wanted it to i am still happy with the outcome. I think whats most important is that in satisfied and proud of the way i did it. I always like to look on the bright side of things and make the best out of bad situations. The way the video is filmed is the young lady is walking around in places she used to go with the girl she loves. She's remenicing the old times that she

Filming pt 2

Over the weekend i had my friend come over to film my music video. It didnt go as planned when i was filming but i still made do with what i could. We went to a majority of the locations i had planned for but some of them were hard because it was night and the streets were filled. We did have to adjust and put masks on due to covid but we made it work. We filmed everything in two days and tried our best to film everything that we need. We filmed at night and during mid day when there was people around so it didnt look too empty. I tried my best to get multiple different angles to add and make it less boring. Im not the best videographer so it was a little difficult for me. Ive done several projects so im getting more used to all this filming stuff but im still learning alot as i continue. Im trying out new techniques as i do each projects and so this time i tried a lot of different ones. I took shots from the back the front and the side. I walked in front of the person to get the fron

Editing

Since there was a late start to the filming process there was a rush into the editing process as well.  I imported all my footage onto my computer after i was done with filming but in that process something messed up. When i thought all my footage was on my computer i removed it from my phone. Then when i went back to edit it i looked for all the footage and it turns out i lost it all. Im going to re film everything this weekend but heres what i have planned for when i edit. I plan on put my scenes in a way where she's remenicing the times with the girl she loves. Im going to try and fade these scenes together or some form of a transition so it looks smooth. Depending on the quality of the videos im going to add a nice filter over the video to make sure it looks good and clean. My video is going to be sort of the same concept my commercial was. I want to cut scenes and then go back to them after a few scenes. This video is supposed to be about a girl going back and thinking about
