Filming pt 2

 Over the weekend i had my friend come over to film my music video. It didnt go as planned when i was filming but i still made do with what i could. We went to a majority of the locations i had planned for but some of them were hard because it was night and the streets were filled. We did have to adjust and put masks on due to covid but we made it work. We filmed everything in two days and tried our best to film everything that we need. We filmed at night and during mid day when there was people around so it didnt look too empty. I tried my best to get multiple different angles to add and make it less boring. Im not the best videographer so it was a little difficult for me. Ive done several projects so im getting more used to all this filming stuff but im still learning alot as i continue. Im trying out new techniques as i do each projects and so this time i tried a lot of different ones. I took shots from the back the front and the side. I walked in front of the person to get the front angles and make sure it was good. Since im still figuring it all out my shots are a little shaky and unsteady. I also dont have a tripod i could use to film so thats also a big factor. Since we were outside and in different settings it was hard to control the lighting of the scenes. I tried my best to figure out where the lighting was coming from and where it looked best. Most of the time the lighting would be pretty good. The sun was always in the right spot. Overall i learned alot more this time than every other time overall.

Editing

 Since there was a late start to the filming process there was a rush into the editing process as well.  I imported all my footage onto my computer after i was done with filming but in that process something messed up. When i thought all my footage was on my computer i removed it from my phone. Then when i went back to edit it i looked for all the footage and it turns out i lost it all. Im going to re film everything this weekend but heres what i have planned for when i edit. I plan on put my scenes in a way where she's remenicing the times with the girl she loves. Im going to try and fade these scenes together or some form of a transition so it looks smooth. Depending on the quality of the videos im going to add a nice filter over the video to make sure it looks good and clean. My video is going to be sort of the same concept my commercial was. Genre research : Comedy

This project was made in the beginning of the year when i first started this class. This was to help understand the concept of genres. What we did was picked a genre from a list and we had to research and learn about them. The genre i picked was comedy. This wasn't a hard project to do it was so i could learn. I started by researching everything thats needed and key in a movie. First i researched the specific type of lighting and angles that are used. For every genre all the details are very different. I had to look at multiple pictures to see what angles and lighting are used the most.10 Next i studied the movement and Mise-En-Scene used in the comedy genre. It's often that the camera usually follows the character. Depending on the type of comedy the mise-en-scene is either dramatic or very casual. Next i researched about elements, example films, sounds. Genre Research: Before i fall

 The elements this movie has is the story it tells. This movie is about a young girl who gets into a car crash but never reaches the crash. She wakes up on the same day of the crash but it's exactly the same. As she repeats each day she has the ability to change what events take place. Throughout the whole movie she try try's multiple ways to figure out how to prevent the crash from happening. As the movie begins you notice she is a mean girl and says no to a certain guy and bullies the weird girl with her friends. At the end of the movie something significant happens and she realises whats really important. Her whole day changed based on how everything happens. The way this movie shows how a tragic event really effects you and you have the opportunity to change it.
